Venue Hire

The Majestic is mostly a receiving house, meaning that we work with touring production companies who bring their shows to our venue. Alongside this, however, we also produce our own in-house ‘Majestic Productions’, and we have a busy hire schedule with local organisations. For information on hiring The Majestic Theatre for either Professional or Amateur shows, please contact the Bookings Team at bookings@majesticretford.org. Please note that we get a lot of enquiries, and we are all volunteers, so sometimes there may be a longer wait for us to get back to you.

  • You can hire the Majestic for rehearsals, concerts, shows, plays, dance schools, theatre schools, events, recordings, screenings, presentations, promotional videos and anything else you can think of (except anything paranormal or dangerous!). We offer very competitive hire rates.

    Professional Shows generally operate on a Ticket Split, which is negotiated with the Bookings Team at the contracting stage. Amateur Shows generally pay a hire fee, which also includes a deposit to secure their booking.

    • Stalls (Ground Floor): 369 seats, plus 4 wheelchair spaces

    • Circle (First Floor): 261 seats

    • Generally, we open the Circle when the Stalls are almost full

  • We have an extremely busy calendar each year with a lot of shows and hires. But the Majestic are developing a bit of a reputation for parties, functions and events alongisde our productions. We can help design and build your dream party for whatever celebration. We can also offer entertainment packages.
